Instrument Panel Upper Section

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

  1. NOTE: The instrument panel must be removed from the vehicle prior to removing the instrument panel upper section.

    Remove the instrument panel.
    Refer to: Instrument Panel (501-12 Instrument Panel and Console, Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Steering Column (211-04 Steering Column, Removal and Installation).
  1. Torque : 2.5 Nm
  1. Torque : 2.5 Nm
  1. Torque : 3 Nm
  1. Remove the FCDIM or the FDIM .

  1. If equipped.
  1. Remove the ACM .

  1. Torque : 2.5 Nm

  1. If equipped.

  1. Refer to: Head Up Display (HUD) Module (419-03B Collision Warning System, Removal and Installation).
  1. Torque : 2.5 Nm

Installation

  1. NOTE: Make sure that all electrical connectors and wiring are not hindered before removing the upper section or damage to the components may occur.

    NOTE: Install all the bolts finger tight before final tightening.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
